I loved everything about it. The people, the food, the architecture, even the rain!! You know that assumption that French people are rude? Wrong, so very wrong. Every single person that we met was extremely graceful, polite and helpful. What the French care is that you at least try, to say the basics, like please and thank you...believe those two little words go a long way. Thank you France for being so beautiful, can't wait to visit you again!! Merci beaucoup!

Viva La France!
Sorry, it has been awhile since I've blogged. I've been busy with work, the holidays and travel! I had the great opportunity to go to Paris, France for the first time with my best friend. Yes, almost cried when we arrived. I planned on taking some pictures with my vintage film camera, but it was so cold that it didn't seem logistically possible to take them, so I relied heavily on my digital Canon 6d.

Adventures in film photography - part deux (dos)
I am thrilled to announce that I bought my own (used) medium format camera - a mamiya 645af. I love it. I still have a lot to learn from it, but with the help of the lab I use (the find lab) and the wonderful photographer I bought it from, I am sure that soon I will get to the level that I admire from other photographers. Thank you to my friend Maria and of course her sister Tere, for helping out and being such good sports. LOVE FILM!!

40th bash
A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of hosting my husband's 40th birthday party. The days leading up to the party were hectic, but at the end it was all worth it. Also, I had the opportunity of practicing film, so it was a win-win situation for me. I loved every minute of it.....well, minus me doing 90% of the cooking!

A Family Portrait
Had such a great time taking pictures of my friend and her boys. It was a great opportunity to practice more of my film photography and I am thankful. This time I used mamiya 645 and Kodak portra 400. I have yet to be disappointed. As always I am lucky to have a lab that is very open and is willing to give me pointers and suggestions on how to improve my photography.
